Jesus is Born
Introduction
One early bright sunny morning along time ago there lived a woman named Mary. She lived in a city by the name of Nazareth. Mary was married to a man named Joseph, he was a carpenter.
Suddenly an angel appeared in front of Mary with a message from God saying that she was going to have a baby named Jesus. She was surprised and ran to tell Joseph the news. He was surprised to hear the news and in his dream an angel appeared and said to look after mary as she was going to have God’s child. So Joseph did as he was told.
Traveling
Mary and Joseph went to a city called Bethlehem, they saw it was too full. So mary and Joseph asked a man if there was a place to stay for the night. Joseph then brought up that mary was going to have a baby. So the man offered a place in the stable. They were so glad they got to stay there because there was no other place for them to stay. Even though they were in a stable with animals and it smelt as smelly as a socks, they were still glad.
The Birth
Jesus was born and he looked as sweet as honey. There were three wise men that knew Jesus was born. So on that night a bright star appeared and the three wise men followed it and it led them to baby Jesus. The three men gave him gold, frankincense (perfume) and myrrh. Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus lived happily ever after.

A Good Friend
Introduction
Do you know one quality of being a friend? Well you've come to the right place. I’m telling you now that the one quality that I think is the best is courtesy. So here we go.
Courtesy
Do you know what Courtesy means and for the people that don’t know i’m going to tell you. I’m telling you right now that courtesy doesn’t mean pushing, shoving, hating people. It means respect. For Example: If I went to go wait in the line for ice cream and the line was too long then, I suddenly got bored and pushed in the line thats not showing courtesy. Courtesy means to let your friends go first. This is how you would do it. You would wait in line patiently while the others in front of you go first.
Sharing
Sharing means to offer and give. You can share anything you want as long as you make sure that the thing you share is useful and as long as it isn’t something hurtful. For Example: If you want to share with your friend a gift and you sent it to her or him and they opened it and it was just a hurtful message that’s not sharing your feelings. Now i’m going to show you what you should have done. Either sent a beautiful and unhurtful gift or a nicer message.
Judging
Judging is hurtful it can make people feel upset and it can also make people feel like they want to run away from home. For Example: If someone walked up to me and said hi then I replied to her you face is ugly that’s not cool. You should handle it like this. Say hi back and introduce yourself. Otherwise that’s judging it’s something that can be said all around the world to hurt people but I guess that’s that.
Conclusion
Now you know a quality of a good friend and you can go tell the rest of the world. I hope you tell more people about it.
The Art Gallery
Introduction
Yaay I shouted! Last Friday me and my class went to the art gallery. Or topic this year is Art Attack. So my guess was that we went to be inspired by people’s art from all around the world because of our topic. Also that we can get idea’s from famous paintings to create our own
Heading on the bus
P1: As we were heading to the bus I felt like it was a dream. That was because I love art. I've always dreamed about being an artist myself. Going to the art gallery made me happy because I would get to see different types of art that would inspire me.
Getting our seats
P2: As everyone kept moving to get to their seat on the bus I got a seat opposite the door. Everyone got their seat and all the parent helpers grabbed a seat to we were all settled and as we all we ready to leave we told the bus driver. I felt the bus move and off we went. “Yaay” we all screamed. We all waved goodbye to random people passing by the bus.
Art Gallery Time
P3: Once we were at the art gallery we had to sit in our group lines and wait until the spinning doors in front of us started moving. Our session started at Ten o'clock (10:00). Tik Tok Tik Tok we all heard the loud bell go exactly a Ten o'clock that’s when we knew that it was time to head inside with our groups we were sitting in.
To be continued...

K.F.C YUMMY!!!
Kentucky fried chicken yummy. Do you know about the people who LOVE to chew on the end of a chicken bone. Don't you just wish that you had that for your lunch well I do NOT!!! I gotcha!!!
Really! Did you know that Chicken bones were used to find out if how old the bones were so that they could find out if the polynesians had come to the island and left with chickens or brought chickens. They also found out that chickens came from polynesia to South America. Radiocarbon date of the chicken bones is pre colombian (Relating to the history and cultures of the Americas before the arrival of Columbus in 1492).

Symbolism
In Extension we have been learning about symbolism. We were given a task to find a partner and you and you partner had to tell each other what is on of the things that are special to you. Mine right now is Jesus. Then we had to draw a symbol that represents it.
The picture below represents my symbol that my partner Talita created. She drew a bible and a hand reaching out to it.

Key Competences
Introduction-
Do you know what the 5 Key Competences are? Well I do!
This is my writing about the Key Competences. They are Managing Self, Relating to Others, Participating and Contributing, Using Language Symbols and texts and Thinking.
Managing Self-
Do you know what Managing Yourself means? Well I do!
Managing Self means your controlling yourself in what you do. Showing respecting others around you and controlling your hands and legs.
For Example: If you were walking down a school corridor and you kept on touching the pictures painted on the wall you are not managing your hands. If you were walking down the corridor nicely with you hands behind your back then you are controlling yourself.
Relating to Others-
Are you kind at school to friend? This is what Relating to others means!
This means you have to be kind to people around you. Also to make sure that you are not making others feel sad and putting them down.
For Example: If you were playing a game of tigy and someone asked you if they could play you should say yes. To make them feel like their important as well.
Participating and Contributing-
This means you have to be included in everything like games. Games are things that can include as many people as you want. For Example: If your class was playing a game and you were just sitting on the side of the field you are not. If you wanted to join with your class you are Participating and Contributing.
Using Language, Symbols and Text-
Using Language means speaking your own language. This also means you have to be able to say a sentence in your language.
For Example: If you say to your teacher “Can go to toilet” That is not Using your Language. Symbols and Text means writing. It means to make sure what your writing makes sense. For Example: If you were writing about your holiday and you said “In the weekend I go movies” that is not using symbols and text but of you write “In the weekend I went to the movies” that is using Symbols and Text properly .
Thinking-
Thinking means you have to think about what you do before you do it. You have to be focused on your learning and your decisions. For Example: If you teacher asked you a question that was difficult for you you would have to think about it. If you just guess it you are not thinking. You can also search for information on the internet.
Conclusion-
Now you know all of the Key competences and you can try and do some of them.

Use My Brain Use My Heart I’m going to be CyberSmart
Introduction-
Use My Brain Use My Heart I’m going to be CyberSmart this phrase is used at my school. It is one of our koreros for school in assembly. So that you can remember what you are doing online.
Use My Brain-
Use My Brain means you have you think about what you say to other people online. For Example: If someone showed you something rude and you decided to do the same thing you are not using your brain. If you decide to Use your Brain then that is good.
Use My Heart-
Use my heart means to follow your heart in what you do. It also includes your actions and what kind of heart you have. Example: You have to be on the right site like if you were on Cool maths games and you were supposed to be on Writing you are not following your heart but if you do the right thing you are following your heart.
I’m going to be Cybersmart-
Being Cybersmart means you have to be smart when you are using your device. For Example: If I were to go on a dodgy site that is not being cybersmart. If you are on the good site then you are being cybersmart.
